CPI State Secretary K Narayana today slammed BJP for adopting dual standards on Telangana statehood. Talking to reporters here he said that the BJP was following the Telugu Desam philosophy of “two Eyes strategy”. He sought to know why the BJP talks on equal justice to Seemandhra, ignoring the plight of Telangana.
Narayana demanded that debate must be continued in Assembly and Council from Friday and opinion be sent to President Pranab Mukherjee. The CPI leader criticized the Seemandhra leaders for delaying T debate for political gains. They must refrain from such acts and help discuss the bill, he said. Due to lack of faith in democracy, they are deliberately failing to put forth their demands for Seemandhra post bifurcation, he said. He exuded confidence that the Centre will bifurcate the state despite any pressures from its own Congress leaders and YSR Congress party creating problems in the way of debate.(NSS)
