CPI State secretary Dr K Narayana on Monday said that there was no truth in the argument that CPI was weakened after taking up the issue of Telangana statehood.
Speaking to media at Suryapet in the district, Narayana made it clear that the CPI was strong in all places in the State. In addition to the Telangana issue, the CPI was taking up uncompromised agitations on other important issues also. The people themselves would achieve separate Telangana State. Stating that differences of opinion was common, he said, “We cannot find fault with the demand for a separate Rayalaseeema State. (NSS)
