Narayana demands probe into ministers

CPI State secretary Dr K Narayana has demanded that ministers, who were involved in the disproportionate assets case being faced by the YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, should also be investigated.

Addressing the Nagonda district party workers’ meeting here on Sunday, he said that it was improper that only Jagan was being investigated while ministers, who were also involved in the irregularities, were being left scot-free. He said that all the tainted ministers should first be sacked.

The CPI leader said that 70 percent of the members of the YSR cabinet were continuing even under Kiran Kumar Reddy government and expressed the view that people like Matrix Prasad and Koneru Prasad could not have indulged in irregularities without the involvement of the ministers. He alleged that the present government was encouraging the liquor mafia.

Narayana said his party would lay siege to the Excise offices on May 25. (NSS)
