Congress MLC Mr. Farooq Hussain declared former Prime Minister of India Mr. PV Narasimha Rao as a bad scar on Congress party.
He wrote a letter to Ms. Sonia Gandhi making an appeal to her to remove the photographs of Narasimha Rao from all the Congress offices and not to celebrate his death anniversary. He told that Narasimha Rao was a shabby black spot on the secular face of Congress party.
The revelations of Mr. Kuldip Nayar, mentioned in his book bear truth. Narasimha Rao is responsible for the demolition of Babri Masjid. He had given a free hand to Sangh Parivar. Before Kuldip Nayar, senior Congress leader Mr. Arjun Singh had also expressed his surprise on the quietitude of Narasimha Rao but nobody raised any objection at that time.
Mr. Farooq Hussain told that soon after accepting the post of Congress President, Ms. Sonia Gandhi had tendered her apology to the Muslims. She didn’t allow the dead body of Narasimha Rao to be taken to Congress Party office in New Delhi. Deviating from the earlier traditions, instead of cremating in Delhi, his dead body was sent to Hyderabad for performing funeral rites.
It is better for the Congress Party to dissociate itself from such a communal minded leader.
