TDP chief and chief minister-designate for Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu today welcomed setting up of SIT by the Centre to go after black money.
Addressing the party’s Mahanadu on the second day organized at Gandipet, the TDP president said the Centre should bring back black money stashed in foreign banks. TDP was floated by lat N T Rama Rao to protect self-respect of Telugu people and for their welfare.
“We are celebrating Mahanadu on the occasion of NTR Jayanthi today and it was a festival day for all Telugu people”, he said, adding that a resolution was passed in Mahanadu demanding that NTR be awarded “Bharat Ratna” posthumously and the party would strive to achieve it. TDP’s aim is to make society free of poor and it would be a true gratitude to NTR.
Earlier, Shamshabad airport was named after NTR. But the previous Congress government changed it. But after consulting the Union government it would be named as NTR airport, he added. Thanking those who contributed funds for the party, Naidu said every worker should contribute for the party. (NSS)
