Striking a sort of emotional chord as new Andhra Pradesh State is facing an acute financial crisis, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today appealed to the employees to work together for development.
Stating that AP employees are planning to shift at the earliest to new capital, Naidu warned that they may be provoked if they stay put in Hyderabad. Promising to provide timely rehabilitation and succor to tribals, he said his government was committed to build irrigation projects at any cost. Trying to win hearts of the employees, Naidu said his government will continue all outsourcing employees. The CM claimed that he will be with the employees and work for their cause besides making all-out efforts to develop AP to surpass other States.
“We are under trees now as there is a need to build our new capital, facilities and infrastructure which meted out total injustice to employees and AP State. Naidu got a rousing reception at Secretariat by employees on his arrival from the AP Assembly which met for first time today. The Chief Minister appealed to Secretariat employees to extend full support and cooperation to rebuild the new State from basement level.
Chandrababu, who entered for the first time into Secretariat drew his vision and plan of action for another 15 years and sought their cooperation for next five years. While a women employee of Finance department donated her four bangles to the CM for the development of the new State, Naidu said the employees should work in tandem with him at this crucial juncture of division of the State. He alleged that the bifurcation was not up to the mark and Telugu people were vertically divided by some vested interests.
“Our intention is to complete Polavaram Project by making use of 3TMC of rain water going waste into Ocean. But some leaders are making a hue and cry, he criticized. Stressing the need for persistent efforts by the employees, he said he will implement his manifesto promises despite any problems that may crop up. Since welfare and development are two key issues needed focus, it is the time to work hard and develop a new state on par with international standards, the Chief Minister stated. (NSS)
