Mumbai, September 14: BJP spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi denied his statement on campaigning of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Bihar elections.
Earlier, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi claimed that there is no doubt in Modi’s involvement in the campaigns.
Differences can be witnessed between Bhartiya Janta Party and Janata Dal(United) over campaigning by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Bihar.
Amid speculation that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had been okayed to campaign for BJP in the coming Bihar assembly polls, the party’s state unit president C P Thakur said no decision has yet been taken by the central leadership on the issue.
“I have spoken to the top leaders and they have told me that no no decision has been taken as yet on campaigning by Gujarat chief minister in Bihar,” Thakur said.
The leaders of the ruling JD(U) and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in particular have often expressed their reservations about Modi visiting the poll-bound state for campaigning fearing that the minority voters will turn its back on the ruling coalition.
