Auto components maker Napino Group firm Vishnu Vaibhav Industry has tied up with Germany’s ZF TRW Global Body Control Systems (BCS) to supply switches for four-wheelers to automobile manufacturers in India.
As per an agreement between the two parties, Vishnu Vaibhav Industry Pvt Ltd (VVIPL) will focus on manufacturing of four-wheeler switches for domestic OEMs in India under its technical collaboration and service provider agreement with ZF TRW, the company said in a statement.
Besides, VVIPL will also offer a local manufacturing footprint to ZF TRW Global BCS to serve their global customers from India, it added.
“This also includes the development and production of switches and switch modules, mechanical steering column locks and products for global entry level cars,” the statement said.
Currently, Haryana-based VVIPL has been present only in two-wheeler segment. The tie up with the German partner will mark its entry into four-wheeler segment.
It has an engineering design centre in Pune as well as two manufacturing plants in Manesar and Pune.
ZF TRW Global BCS is a leading producer of electronic components dedicated to vehicle command and control. Its product portfolio includes integrated electronic control panels (IECP), steering column control modules (SCCM), switches and switch modules and HVAC among others. It has presence in 40 different countries.
