Nannapaneni urges Union Ministers, MPs of seemandhra to intensify their fight

TDP MLC Nannapaneni Rajakumari on Monday urged the Union ministers and MPs from the Seemandhra region to intensify their fight against bifurcation of the State.

Speaking at Assembly mediapoint, Rajakumari said the Seemandhra legislators were extending full support to the Seemandhra MPs, who were stalling Parliament by storming into the well in protest against bifurcation of the State. As the scene shifted to the national capital, the Seemandhra MPs should further intensify their protests against the bifurcation, she added.

Referring to the appeal made by President Pranab Mukharjee to the Seemandhra MPs to act as responsible members, the TDP MLC felt the elected representatives had no other option than to disturb the proceedings of the House when the President of India took a decision to divide the State under pressure from the Government. The members would definitely voice the sentiments of the people of their region in the legislative houses, she added.

Appealing to the President to render justice to the people of Seemandhra and see the State was not bifurcated, Rajakumari observed that the submerged areas of Polavaram Projects, which were offered to Seemandhra region, were not equal to the cost of Outer Ring Road of Hyderabad city. (NSS)
