Nangre Patil among 66 Maha police officers transferred

Mumbai, Jun 01: Maharashtra Government today transferred 66 police officers, including senior IPS official Vishwas Nangre Patil, who was in limelight during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Nangre Patil, DCP in south Mumbai, has been shifted as SP in neighbouring Thane district, Home department sources said.

During the 26/11 attacks, Nangre Patil and his team moved to the security control room on the second floor of the Taj hotel, braving terrorists.

Earlier, he busted rave parties in Pune and Mumbai, exposing rampant drug abuse among youth.

Another IPS officer Sanjay Banerjee, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 11), has been posted as Commandant, SRPF at Daund.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone V, Milind Bharambe, has been shifted as SP, Nashik Rural.
