Nandita appointed chairperson of CFSI

New Delhi, August 01: Bollywood actress Nandita Das has been made chairperson of Children’s Film Society India as former Miss India and Social Activist Nafisa Ali has resigned from the post. Her tenure will of three-year.

Nandita directed Firaq, the movie based on Gujarat riots, in 2008. She enthralled the audiences in Fire (1996), and Water (1998). She has been awarded with several awards.

She is daughter of eminent painter Jatin Das and writer Varsha Das. She is an alumnus of the Delhi School of Social Work. Her acting in Bawandar (2000) and in Bhuvan (2002) left audiences mesmerised.

Nandita has acted in Hindi, Bengali, Malyali and English movies. She is an actress of International fame.
