TRS leader K T Rama Rao has strongly condemned the statement of the TDP Parliamentary Party leader Nama Nageswara Rao challenging KCR to contest from Khammam.
Talking to the media here on Monday, KTR has said though Nama was talking, the voice belonged to his master Chandra Babu Naidu. He said with Nama’s statement, the real nature of Naidu was exposed.
Strongly objecting to Nama asking KCR to contest from Khammam, he said this very statement had proved that he was an integrationist in the garb of a ‘T’ protagonist. He said through this statement Nama had insulted the Telangana agitators of Khammam. He has questioned if Nama knew that the Telangana movement was first launched with the fast of Ravindranath in Khammam in 1969. he also said if he had forgotten that the children of Khammam had shown their valour when KCR was arrested in Khammam. He said if Nama felt that Telangana sentiment was not strong in Khammam, he should better resign and get reelected from there as an integrationist. He has demanded an apology from Nama to the people of Khammam.
Another TRS leader Enugu Rainder Reddy has also assailed Nama. He has asked Nama why he was not questioning his leader Chandra Babu Naidu who had stopped the Telangana that was becoming a reality. He has alleged that TDP leaders were trying to please Chandra Babu Naidu, instead of fulfilling the aspirations of the people. He said they would not keep quite if KCR was attacked. (NSS)
