Naked thief steals shoes, utensils in bank, leaves money

Pathankot: A thief stole guard’s shoes and some utensils at a branch of State Bank of India in Pathankot and left the money untouched. The theft came to light after a hole was found by the bank officials in a rear wall of the bank.

Security footage from CCTV cameras showed a naked man entering the bank through the hole dug by him at around 2:54 am on Monday at the SBI branch in Jugial, reports HT.

He took a pair of shoes, two pressure cookers and a pan with him after spending an hour in the bank.
He escaped from the same hole which he had dug up to enter.

Bank manager Vipin Mittal, who lodged a complaint at the Shahpur Kandi police station, claimed that the CCTV footage showed the man trying to break the locker but he could not succeed.

Police are trying to identify the person using the footage. It is believed that the suspect could be mentally challenged.
