Naked body scanners could soon be a reality in the UK as scientists have declared them safe, reported Daily Mail.
An EU study concluded that the risk from the scanners, which uses X-Rays to scan through passengers’ clothes is ‘close to zero’.
The European Commission is expected to approve the technology and the scanners could be rules out in UK airports.
A Manchester Airport spokesperson said they were waiting for this report from EU because the UK and US governments had carried similar tests and concluded the same findings.
