President of Minorities Cell of Congress, Mr. Mohammed Sirajuddin told that the Muslims of India are not the citizens of this country by chance but by choice. Congress Party of India honored the Muslims like Dr. Zakir Husain and Mr. Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed by appointing them as Presidents of India. He condemned the statement made by Dr. Najma Heptullah in which she had proclaimed that the Muslims of India are facing inferiority complex right from the day of Independence. In this manner she has ridiculed crores of Muslims of India and hurt their feelings. Mr. Sirajuddin further pointed out that UPA Govt. implemented many welfare schemes for the benefit of Minorities. People are still getting benefits of 15 point program of PM of India. In the tenure of the present NDA Govt. Muslims are being terrorized by slogans of “Muslims go back to Pakistan”, “Love Jihad” and “Ghar Wapsi”. The roots of secularism are being shaken by attacks on Christian institutions. Mr. Barack Obama, President of US has also expressed the view that Minorities in India are not secured.
