Mr K Ramachandran Nair, Chief General Manager has taken over as the Head of the Andhra Pradesh Regional Office of NABARD here with effect from August 27. He replaced Mr P.Mohanaiah who has been posted to the Head Office of NABARD at Mumbai, a release from NABARD here said today. Mr Nair began his career as a direct recruit officer with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1980 and opted to serve NABARD from 1983 onwards. He has specialised in all aspects of rural finance. The core area where he has contributed is opening up of new avenues of rural infrastructure financing, including PPP models. Before joining the AP Regional Office, Mr Nair was heading a corporate level team of NABARD at its Head Office in Mumbai, which helped conceptualizing, designing and strategizing the roll out of new and innovative development finance models for NABARD. He has had wide exposure to training in India and abroad, in infrastructure financing and governance in developing countries (China, Thailand), study of German Cooperatives (Germany), PPP Models (IIM, Ahmedabad), central banking and development banking (RBI and NABARD).
