Hyderabad, December 21: The news of deteriorating health condition of the Telugu Desam party president, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, in the NIMS Hospital spread like a wild fire and created tension in the TDP and power circles.
The hunger strike of Mr. Naidu entered fifth day on Tuesday and the former chief minister, who was under supervision of a team of doctors in the hospital, refused medicines and liquid food as advised by the doctors.
Speaking to media persons after meeting Mr. Naidu in the hospital, Mr Naidu’s personal doctor and eminent cardiologist, Dr Somaraju, said that the TDP chief”s health condition has worsened as he was not taking even fluids. He said that the fasting leader should at least consume liquids otherwise his condition would turn critical.
A large number of TDP workers descended at the NIMS hospital and staged a dharna in front the hospital. However, the police took them into custody and whisked them away. A large number of police personnel were deployed at the NIMS hospital keeping in view the TDP workers pouring in large numbers.
