Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Dr N Raghuveera Reddy on Thursday alleged that the White Paper released by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Energy was a bunch of lies.
Speaking to media persons at Indira Bhavan here, Raghuveera Reddy alleged that Naidu used false statistics just to blame the previous Congress regime for the ongoing power crisis. He also alleged that the White Paper was aimed at diverting the people’s attention from the TDP Government’s inability to fulfill the tall promises that it made with the people to win the elections. He asked as to why Naidu did not mention about the police firing incident of Basheerbagh, steep hike in power tariff and cases filed against farmers during TDP’s regime. (INN)
