Former minister C Ramachandraiah today alleged that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu lacks any vision.
Addressing mediapersons along with party chief spokesperson at Indira Bhavan (Seemandhra State Congress Office) here, Ramachandraiah ridiculed Chandrababu Naidu for claiming that he would be Chief Minister of residual Andhra Pradesh State after general elections. He sarcastically said the TDP is becoming a corporate company by welcoming selfish Congress leaders into that party. “It is totally meaningless and unethical to lure and admit Congress and other parties’ leaders into TDP fold”, he alleged. He also asked why Naidu was not offering chief minister post to a BC for residual Andhra Pradesh State like he promised in the case of Telangana State.
Ramachandraiah took serious exception to the TDP Chief, who was CM for nine years and Leader of the Opposition for 10 years, for indulging in a meaningless talk. Despite his tall promises, Chandrababu had to confine himself to the Opposition as people are well aware of his gimmicks, he said. He also accused Naidu of lacking clarity and caught in the web of confusion as to what he can do to overcome political crisis.
Naidu deliberately escaped from sending his representative to Group of Ministers’ meeting on bifurcation issue, he said. The Congress leader also slammed Naidu and YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for changing their stances only for political mileage. “While Naidu took a reverse turn after giving a letter to the Centre in favor of Telangana statehood, Jagan too took a U turn on Telangana after appealing to the Centre to make use of Article 3 for carving out of Telangana State by State bifurcation, he alleged. Both the parties adopted dual standards on the crucial issue like State bifurcation. He also explained that the Centre had taken a decision to bifurcate the State to carve out Telangana State only after eliciting opinions from all political parties and stakeholders, he said. But later the TDP, YSRCP and others joined hands to blame the Congress which kept its promise on T state, he maintained.
Ramachandraiah found fault with Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s meeting with BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. He sought to know why Pawan, who said to have been following Communist ideology and Che Guvera, a revolutionary, who sacrificed himself for the cause of people, called on Modi who is being acknowledged for’ provoking communal politics.
