Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and Opposition leader in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly N Chandrababu Naidu today took out ‘Padayatra’ to the Assembly by carrying hurricane lanterns to protest the serious power crisis in the state. Mr Naidu and other party legislastors marched to the Assembly from the Ambedkar Statue near the Secretariat and demanded immediate lifting of power cuts. Meanwhile, speaking to media after the Assembly was adjourned, TDP Senior Leader Payyavula Keshav appealed to the government not to run away from problems by adjourning the house. He said farmers, students, housewives and all other sections of the society were facing serious problems and looking to the Assembly for solutions. He took objection to ‘half of the members of the cabinet and many MLAs of the ruling party abstaining from the Assembly on the opening day.’ UNI
