Hyderabad, August 17: Stepping up his attack on TDP, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao today wondered why the TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu was silent on the breaking of the sluice shutters of a project that provides water to Mahabubnagar district in Telangana region.
“Chandrababu Naidu enacted a big drama on Babhli issue saying that Telangana farmers would suffer. Why is he silent on breaking of sluice shutters of Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme (RDS) by the goondas of Rayalaseema? This incident shows that his love for Telangana is actually bogus,” Rao said addressing a gathering at TRS office here.
Naidu did not do justice to Telangana when a similar incident happened during his tenure as Chief Minister, he claimed.
“These incidents show that TDP would only shed crocodile tears for Telangana. So, I am declaring today that TDP is a party that belonged to coastal Andhra region but not Telangana,” he added.
Appreciating some TDP leaders who reportedly quit TDP and joined TRS today, Rao claimed that all self-respecting TDP leaders from Telangana region should quit the party and join TRS as it is the only party that sincerely fights for Telangana.
There will be an “earthquake” after the Sri Krishna committee submits its report by the end of December this year and all sections in Telangana should be ready for that, he reiterated.
