TRS leader Devi Prasad today lashed out at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for raking up section 8 to offer law and order powers to Governor ESL Narasimahan. Addressing a media persons at Secretariat here, the former employees association president criticized that Naidu was pretending law and order issue for escaping from the cash for vote scam. Telangana employees will hold lunch hour protest demonstrations against Naidu’s insistence on section 8 on Wednesday he said.
Chandrababu is indulging in vengeance politics by demeaning democratic values and belittling 4.5 cr people of the region he alleged. Though we are not afraid of section 8, the governor should not implement it he demanded. Since people from all states and many nations are living in peaceful and favourable atmosphere here there is no need of talking on this section he said. Chandrababu is provoking people and employees and pressing the Centre in this regard, he deplored. He also said that Naidu’s efforts will not fructify despite TD being the ally of the BJP Government at the Centre. Entire Telangana will take up another agitation against Chandrababu Government if he fails to mend his ways, he warned. The city is wrapped under peaceful atmosphere during one year rule of the TRS Government and there is no question of section 8 giving powers to the governor. (NSS)
