Naidu vows to make Vizag a smart city & IT hub

AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today said Vizag people have shown courage during Hudhud cyclone which caused heavy damage to the city.
Inaugurating Vanamahotsavam program this morning at MVP colony here, the Chief Minister said he would never forget the help and cooperation extended by the people of Visakhapatnam city, who stood behind the government during the natural calamity. He said the local administration worked with dedication during Hudhud cyclone. The CM said Vizag city would be developed not only as a smart city, but also as logistic hub. Naidu said they would take up plantation of 79,000 saplings in the city.
The Chief Minister also disclosed that Greenfield airport would be set up in Visakhapatnam and efforts would be made to attract Hardware and IT firms which would provide jobs to the youth, he added. Naidu said he would visit Visakhapatnam city once a month. He also said there would be no scarcity of water in the city once Polavaram project was completed. Assuring to make Vizag a financial capital, the Chief Minister said underground cables would be laid for power and telephones. (NSS)
