Naidu vows to make Amaravathi into a World class city

Tirupati: AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said new capital Amaravati would be developed as a world class city.

Addressing party workers at Mahanadu here, Chandrababu Naidu said it was my fortune and luck that he got an opportunity to construct capital city for newly created Andhra Pradesh. Express-ways would be laid between Amaravati-Anantapur, Kadapah and Kurnool and comprehensive plans are being worked to construct a 220km ring road around Amaravati, the chief minister said.

Criticizing the Opposition party, Naidu said the government wanted Amaravati as a historic city, but Opposition YSRCP was trying to create obstacles to our work. The chief minister alleged that the opposition party was trying to create hurdles in constructing express highway from capital city to Rayalaseema. They wanted to go to court just to delay the project, Naidu further accused. (NSS)
