Naidu violated Bifurcation act: KCR

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today informed Krishna Water Board Chairman Krishna Pandit that his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu has violated all norms of AP Bifurcation Act 2014 that envisages Telangana to get 54 per cent of power from various projects. During a meeting with Pandit at Secretariat here the Chief Minister stated that TS government did not violate norms of the Bifurcation Act and drawing waters and power for purposeful needs. ‘We are essentially releasing waters for power production and cater to the needs of farmers’, he said.

KCR also said that Chandrababu and YSR Governments illegally drew Srisailam waters to Seemandhra region at the cost of Telangana projects and crops. A similar meeting expected to be held on Oct 29, it is learnt.(NSS)
