Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today urged the Centre to fulfill all promises envisaged in A P Bifurcation Act.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Chandrababu Naidu, who is on Kadapa district tour, said the Centre should immediately release funds and help development of Andhra Pradesh on the par with southern States. “We are striving to develop the residuary State without any hurdles”, he said.
Responding to a query on special status to the State, the Chief Minister said, “I will not leave anything. The Centre has to fulfill all its promises in to to”, he added. “We have a target to complete construction of Polavaram project by 2019”, Chandrababu Naidu said and urged the Centre to release funds in time.
The Chief Minister said the ground water has depleted in the State and with an aim to increase the groundwater level, the “Neeru-Meeru” program has been launched. Naidu assured that Kadapa district would be made as a horticulture hub and Gandikota would be as a tourist centre. (NSS)
