Hyderabad, April 17: Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly expressed his unhappiness over the functioning of senior party leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy.
Mr. Naidu, who spoke to some senior leaders on Saturday, is learnt to have conveyed his “dissatisfaction” over the way Dr. Reddy was behaving and claimed that this would not augur well for the party. The interaction comes in the light of reports published in a section of the media about Dr. Reddy’s alleged comments that YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy enjoyed more credibility in Telangana than the TDP leadership.
Dr. Reddy, however, denied making any such comments and said the reports were handiwork of a few people in the party who were bent on dissociating him from the party and the cadre.
Speaking to reporters, he said there was no need for him to tender an apology to the leadership as he had not made the comments. He was firm in his stand that the party leadership should abide by the stand it had taken in favour of separate Telangana in 2008 and that he was going ahead with his proposed yatra on May 9.
Senior Telangana leader E. Dayakar Rao and others said they would participate in the electioneering just as leaders from other regions had campaigned for the TDP during the by-polls in Telangana.
