TDP initiated consultations within the party on the issue of sending a second letter on Telangana issue to the Union Home Ministry.
TDP president interacted with party leaders from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema on the issue. Those who participated in today’s meeting were Payyavula Keshav (Anantapur), Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu (Chittoor), Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdhary (East Godavari ), Pattipati Pulla Rao (Guntur) and so on.
Speaking to mediapersons later, Keshav said the party leaders conveyed their opinions to the party president on the issue and left the decision to him.
TDP has been at the receiving end in all the bye-elections in view of its hesitant approach towards Telangana issue. Therefore, the party decided to make crystal clear its approach and policy on the issue so that the party position could be protected and pursued in the 2014 elections, he added. (NSS)
