Naidu slams Central government on CWG mess

Hyderabad, September 24 (Siasat News): TDP president Mr. Chandrababu Naidu strongly criticized the central government saying it has bowed down nation’s head in shame. He charged Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh of causing offense to Nation’s prestige, and demanded Manmohan Singh as prime Minister, to unconditionally apologize the nation.

He alleged corruption of crores of rupees in CWG and sought Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh’s immediate intervention to oversee the work of the Commonwealth Games and demanded that the Centre bring in new legislation to mete out exemplary punishment to the corrupt through fast track courts.

He demanded the sacking of Indian Olympic Committee chairman, Mr Suresh Kalmadi, who, he said, should tender an apology to the nation. “UPA chairperson Mrs Sonia Gandhi and the PM should have intervened to stem the rot in the Games’ works,” he said.
