Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao today slammed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for interfering in Telangana affairs. He asked why Naidu neither denied his involvement in the cash-for-vote case nor his party’s involvement in it.
Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan here, the minister demanded that Naidu should admit the mistake he committed. Denying charges that Telangana Government tapped Naidu’s phone calls, Tummala said the ACB recorded the phone calls made by the brokers or middlemen. Naidu spoke to Elvis Stephenson when a middleman contacted him on phone, he said. The TRS Government did not tap the phone calls of Naidu or anyone, he clarified.
Some of the AP ministers are unhappy at Revanth Reddy’s bribe episode and not speaking out frankly, he charged. He also accused Naidu of failing to keep his promises and left the people in the lurch. Instead of keeping his promises and develop AP State, Naidu was putting spokes in the Telangana development, he charged. “The infamous cash for vote case exposed the fact that Naidu has sent Revanth Reddy to Stephenson for his vote in the MLC election. However, the issue is in no way related to the people of Andhra Pradesh State, he pointed out.. (NSS)
