Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday sought the help of government employees to build Andhra Pradesh State from the scratch.
Speaking at a felicitation function organised by APNGOs here, Naidu said that Andhra Pradesh lacks everything that is needed to run a State. There is no capital, no Secretariat and no funds. He said that the State has a deficit of Rs 15,600 crore. However, he expressed confidence that Andhra Pradesh would not only overcome the problems, but will implement all welfare schemes promised before the elections. He claimed that Hyderabad belongs to everyone as it was build by all the Telugu speaking people together.
Praising the role played by the APNGOs during the agitation demanding to keep the State united, he assured that all the cases filed against the employees would be withdrawn and 80 day-agitation period would be treated as leave. He also assured that the government would resolve the problems being faced by employees by holding quarterly meetings.
Naidu also claimed that the BJP-led NDA Government has assured full support to Andhra Pradesh. Citing an example, he said that the Centre did justice with Andhra Pradesh by passing the Polavaram Bill.
Addressing the gathering, APNGOs president P Ashok Babu praised the administrative skills of Chandrababu Naidu. He said it was Naidu who carried on the legacy of late NTR to keep the Telugu pride high. (INN)
