Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday appealed the Centre to fulfill its responsibility of according the Special Category Status (SCS) to the state besides all other promises made during the division of the state.
Speaking at the Independence Day celebrations at Anantapuram, the CMÂ urged the Centre to release funds for various projects which are under construction including Polavaram and resolve all issues pertaining to AP and Telangana.
The Chief Minister claimed that despite all the odds, his government tried to put the state’s economy on track. Mr Naidu claimed that AP stood second after Gujarat in ease of doing business, third in attracting investments and number one in implementation of Mahatma Gandhi NREGS. He said that his aim was to make Andhra Pradesh one of the three developed states in the country by 2022, number one state by 2029 and the best state in the world by 2050. (INN)
