Naidu owes explanation on water, power: KTR

IT Minister K Taraka Ramarao today launched a scathing attack against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his plan of Telangana tour.

Speaking to reporters here, KTR accused Naidu of looting the rightful share of Telangana waters and power and then take up his tour. Naidu, he said, should first provide the water and power to the State as per AP Reorganisation Act. “If Naidu has any affection towards Telugu people in the State, he should give our share of waters and power”, KTR demanded.

Reacting to Naidu’s Warangal tour, KTR stated that they would see it as any other chief ministers of neighbouring Karnataka and Maharashtra touring in Telangana. Chandrababu should rename his party that belongs to other nation, he suggested. Despite bemoaning on deficit budget in the AP Government, Chandrababu spent Rs 15 crore to repairs for his chambers in Secretariat. Chandrababu owes an explanation to the Telangana people on these issues before taking up his tour.

“Chandrababu is deliberately coming in the way of Telangana development and deceiving people”, he alleged. The people of the region are watching Naidu’s nefarious designs against the development of Telangana, KTR said. The people will not keep quiet if he embarks on such a tour without honoring the Act, he said. (NSS)
