Hyderabad, July 10 (INN): TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy has claimed that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was not against the construction of Palamuru Lift Irrigation Project.
Speaking to media persons at Kodangal in Mahabubnagar district, Revanth Reddy admitted that Naidu has written a letter to the Central Water Commission on the Palamuru issue. However, he said Naidu has only sought a copy of Detailed Project Report and did not ask the CWC to stop the project. He accused the TRS leaders of spreading false information about Naidu.
Revanth Reddy also questioned the logic behind TRS giving call for Mahabubnagar district bandh. He said the project would benefit Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy and Hyderabad districts and therefore, highlighting it as a project for one district was wrong. Further, it sounds strange when a ruling party gives call for bandhs. (INN)
