Naidu is mastermind in ‘Cash for Vote’ case: VHR

Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao has alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President Nara Chandrababu Naidu was the mastermind behind the ‘Cash for Vote’ case.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, VHR demanded that the Anti-Corruption Bureau include Naidu’s name as the main accused in the case in which TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy was arrested for trying to bribe nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson on May 31. He said that the video recording clearly shows that Revanth Reddy took the name of his ‘Boss’ at least thrice. Besides finding out the source of Rs 50 lakh already seized by the ACB, the investigating agency should also find out from where and when Revanth Reddy was to collect another Rs 4.5 crore cash.

VHR also urged the Telangana Government to order a CBI probe into the case. He said that all the activities of past 10 days till Revanth Reddy’s arrest should be investigated by the CBI. Further, he said the financial transactions of MLAs who defected to TRS should also be investigated. (INN)
