Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Wednesday claimed that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu is the main accused in the ‘Cash for Vote’ case.
TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on May 31 for trying to bribe nominated Anglo-Indian MLA Elvis Stephenson to vote in favour of his party candidate Vem Narender Reddy in MLC elections. Presently, he is lodged in Cherlapally Central Prison.
Speaking to media persons in Warangal today, the Home Minister alleged that Naidu had spoken to some TRS MLAs luring them to vote for TDP candidate in MLC polls. He claimed that the ACB is having the records of telephonic conversations. He also alleged that senior TDP leaders were frequently meeting Revanth Reddy in jail to pressurise him not to disclose the involvement of TDP President in the case. However, Nayani said that the law would take its own course.
Nayani said that many TDP leaders were joining TRS to turn Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s dream of ‘Bangaru Telangana’ into a reality. He said people were extreme happy and satisfied with the performance of TRS Government. (INN)
