Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday called on his Telangana counterpart K. Chandrashekar Rao at latter’s camp office to invite him for foundation stone laying ceremony of Amravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh State.
While KCR received Naidu with a flower bouquet, the latter offered him a shawl.
Naidu was accompanied with Telangana TDP leaders L. Ramana and Errabelli Dayakar Rao. Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Ministers Jagadish Reddy and K Tarakarama Rao were also present.
KCR extended warm wishes to Naidu on the construction of new capital Amravati. Naidu briefed him about the salient features of new capital.
However, the Chief Minister’s office is yet to clarify whether or not KCR would attend the function to be held on October 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Amravati. (INN)
