Naidu hits back at Mamata for calling NSA Doval an ‘RSS sympathiser’

Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Monday criticized the Trinamool Congress for calling National Security Adviser Ajit Doval a “known RSS sympathiser”, saying it’s totally false allegation as the latter is one of the most upright officers.

“That’s totally false allegation, such allegations should not be made at all. He is one of the most upright officers, everybody knows it. He is handling the job that has been given to him in a very good manner,” Naidu told the media here.

“She (Mamata Banerjee) is making allegations against the Central Government. It is not going to do anything good to her,” he added.

Launching a frontal attack on the Centre, the TMC yesterday called Doval a known RSS sympathizer and alleged that the Burdwan blast was a part of a ‘devious’ master game-plan of the BJP that was ‘conceived, drafted and approved by RSS’.

“The NSA is a known RSS sympathizer, these plans are hatched at RSS headquarters,” TMC leader Derek O’Brien said while reacting to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s criticism of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over her reaction to the Saradha chit-fund scam and the Burdwan blast.

Jaitley had earlier in his blog lashed out at the TMC chief and alleged that her comment on the Burdwan blast is neither ‘responsible nor nationalistic’.

“The National Intelligence Agency (NIA) has arrested several people who have engineered the blast. They are enemies of the State. The West Bengal Police or the other intelligence agencies have no substantive material to establish that the blast was stage-managed? If there is no such material, why has Didi chosen to allege that the blast was stage managed? Such allegations clearly help the actual culprits. This is neither responsible nor Nationalistic,” he wrote in his article ‘Govt. and the opposition – A case study’.

O’Brien also lashed out at Jaitley for accusing Mamata of not acting against her party leaders involved in ponzi schemes.

“Where did the BJP raise their money for the Lok Sabha polls? If the nation knows how much black money is spent by the BJP then they will become a blacklisted party. Why doesn’t the BJP provide transparent accounts?” he asked.

Expressing disappointment over Mamta’s reaction to the interrogation and arrest of some of TMC leaders in the Saradha chit-fund scam, Jaitley wrote: “The TMC’s victory in Bengal was a reaction to the non-governance by the Left. Various political forces joined the TMC to get the left out. Some individuals connected with the TMC have been involved in making easy money from the Ponzi schemes. The schemes have looted small investors. As a new political Party, it was incumbent on any responsible leader to purge the Party of such leaders. It is regrettable that Mamta Didi instead of doing that has chosen identify herself with the cause of these leaders.” (ANI)
