Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu extends greetings to the members of the media fraternity on the occasion of National Press Day.
The Chief Minister gave a call to the media to highlight the state’s developments and help in building the brand image of the state. He added that the media braved the odds during Cyclone Hudhud and highlighted issues of victims.
Further, he said the occasion should inspire media persons to maintain highest standards of professionalism and constructive journalism. “I hope you highlight the most pressing humanitarian issues and help us listen to unheard voices,” he said.
Stating that the media is the Fourth Estate in our democracy, he said it plays a vital role in dissemination of information to the masses based on facts and truth. He added that media should also ensure accountability and work towards motivating people to become part of developing a nation and kindle social responsibility among them.
The Chief Minister wished the media continue its coverage of the society, downtrodden, women and children and environment for a better tomorrow.
