Hyderabad, January 24: Warring Telangana Telugu Desam leaders agreed for a compromise formula to drop the demand for a separate unit of the party and also the proposed coordination committee.
The TD chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, convened a meeting of warring TD leaders including Telangana TD Forum convener, Mr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Mr M. Narasimhulu, Mr Ramana, Mr T. Devender Goud and others and asked them not to wash dirty linen in public. The meeting decided to take up agitation for a separate Telangana under the banner of existing Telangana TD Forum. It also decided to organise protests in Delhi demanding separate state during the Budget Session of Parliament.
Sources said Mr Naidu asked party leaders not to take up any agitation that will harm party interests.
“There will b no separate unit of the party in Telangana. The existing forum will take up the agitation,” Mr Nagam said after the meeting.
