A delegation of about members of Federation of Senior Citizens Organisation (FESCO) presented a memorandum to TDP President Nara Chandrababu Naidu at his residence on Tuesday to include it in its manifesto for the forthcoming general elections.
The contents of the memorandum are framed to facilitate and to lead senior citizens a peaceful, dignified and protected life. Among the facilities and welfare measures sought for inclusion are enhancement of Old age Pension, extending bus fare concessions in APSRTC, implementation of maintenance and welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens act, 2007, in letter and spirit, budget exclusively for senior citizens activities, establishing old age homes etc.,
Naidu reacted favorably and agreed to include in their manifesto. He further opined that there is a need and necessity of establishing old age homes in all the 294 assembly constituencies.
