Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday expressed shock and grief over the death of eight persons in rain affected areas in the twin cities of Hyderabad-Secunderabad.
In a statement released to media, Naidu said that the deaths have exposed the lack of preparedness of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy Government and GHMC officials to deal with the situation. He alleged that the neglect of roads and drainage construction by the Congress government has led to the present crisis.
Naidu urged the GHMC, State Government and the CMO officials to take steps to repair the roads and drainages immediately to contain further loss of life and property. Expressing sympathies to victims families, Naidu demanded that the government provide compensation to the bereaved families and relief to others affected in the affected areas. (INN)
