Telugu Desam president N Chandrababau Naidu on Saturday called upon youth to protect the country from the corrupt people.
Flagging off bike rally at Excellency Gardens at Kompally as part of Yuva Tarangalu, Naidu exhorted the youth to take active part in the politics to prevent tentacles of corruption. “The youth should play a crucial role in liberating the State from clutches of corrupt politicians,” he said. He assured the youth that the TDP would extend its full support to them in their fight against corruption.
Naidu alleged that the Congress leaders were looting the State and burdening the common man by imposing heavy taxes. He said the youth should protect the State from the looting of wealth and join active politics to prevent graft.
Naidu said that the statues of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy remind people of scams, corruption and faction murders.
Stating that the cancellation of Polavaram tenders by the government was a victory of TDP, he said his party would not bow down to the threats of TRS and teach them a fitting lesson at an appropriate time. He said that he was never opposed to the Telangana state and claimed that KCR would have been on TDP’s platform if he was given a cabinet berth during TDP’s regime.
The TDP president said that the development of Telangana took place during its regime, Naidu challenged the Congress party for an open debate in this regard. (INN)
