Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, President of TDP told that during TDP regime, many welfare measures were adopted for the benefit of BCs. Right from 1983, BCs have been the backbone of TDP. He mentioned that TDP is the only party which announced BC declaration. He demanded that reservations should be provided to BCs in legislative institutions. A separate Ministry should be established for BCs. He was addressing a conference oragnised by BC Association. Dr. R. Krishnayya presided over the function.
As soon as Mr. Naidu arrived at Nizam College to address the gathering , Congress leaders Mr. V. Hanumanth Rao, MP, Mr. Anjan Kumar Yadav, MP and Mr. P. Lakshmiah, IT Minister left the function. Mr. Hanumantha Rao told that the function was deliberately delayed for the arrival of Mr. Chandrababu Naidu.
