TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu today said he always wanted poor women to come up financially and provide them financial independence.
Addressing DWCRA women’s groups, who came from Mahbubnagar district at NTR Trust Bhavan, party’s headquarters here, the TDP chief said there was no security for women in the country, particularly in Andhra Pradesh.
Condemning the rape incidents in Mumbai and Delhi, the former chief minister expressed his concern over a woman dancer of Mumbai being sexually assaulted after snatching her money in Hyderabad.
Parents of girls are afraid about protection of their daughters, who go outside for study and jobs, he said. (NSS)
