Hyderabad, February 23: Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu today demanded that the Centre to take an immediate decision on the Telangana statehood issue.
“Governance has collapsed in Andhra Pradesh. There is widespread unrest among people of Telangana. It is not right on the Centre’s part to delay its decision on the statehood issue,” Chandrababu told reporters today.
Now that the Justice Srikrishna Committee has submitted its report to the Centre, the latter should act on it and take a decision, he said.
Naidu said his party would not attend the all-party meeting to be convened by the Centre on the statehood issue.
He alleged that some political parties were trying to turn the Centre’s indecision to their advantage and strengthen themselves.
“The TRS and Jagan are trying to pursue a hidden agenda, while some other parties too are pursuing their own agendas.
