Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today congratulated the Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav on the successful and record performance of his party in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Talking to mediapersons at NTR Trust Bhavan here, Mr Naidu said the TDP and the Samajwadi Party have shared a common mission and goal in public life to eliminate the corrupt Congress party and to protect the democratic and constitutional institutions in the state. He said he had interacted with Mulayam Singh Yadav on several occasions in pursuit of national goals of a unity of regional parties and to catapult them into dominant national role. The Regional parties – the Samajwadi Party and the TDP – now have a major responsibility to uphold the people’s aspirations for stability and development, he added. UNI
