Naidu completes 200-km of padayatra

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday completed 200 kilometres of his marathon padayatra “Vastunna Mee Kosam” that he undertook on October 2.

On the 11th day of his padayatra, which started from Hindupur, Naidu reached Renumakulapalli on Friday. So far, Naidu has extensively toured Anantapur district addressing street-corner meetings at various places. He also interacted with different sections of the society about the problems being solved by them. Most of the people that Naidu interacted with had complaints related to inflation, improper supply of power and non-implementation of government’s welfare schemes.

Sources say that the padayatra has caused health problems for Naidu and he has reportedly developed blisters on his feet. A medical team of the Government Medical College, Anantapur, which is accompanying him in the padyatra, has advised him rest for healing of blisters. However, Naidu has decided to continue the padyatra while ignoring health advisories.

The TDP chief completed 100-kilometres of his padayatra after he reached Kambadaaru mandal near Kottur on the 6th day. However, he finished a journey of another 100 km in just five days.

Naidu will walk another 2,140 kilometres, covering 16 districts of the state, in the next 106 days. The yatra is most likely be concluded on January 26 next year.
