Immediately after his arrival in Hyderabad, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu has been admitted into Asian Institute of Gastroenterology. It may be noted that Mr. Naidu had started fast unto death at AP Bhavan in New Delhi. On the fifth day, he was forcibly shifted to Ram Manohar Lohiya Hospital where Doctors gave him IV fluids. Various Pathological tests revealed that he lost four Kg. weight. There was a decline in sodium and sugar levels in his body. It has also been reported that his liver got affected and there are symptoms of Jaundice which is said to be the effect of his hunger strike. It was therefore, decided to keep him at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in Hyderabad for three to four days for further tests and treatment. A team of expert doctors of liver and nutrition are attending on him.
