Naidu can’t stop Dindi, Palamur projects: Harish

The much-awaited Palamur and Dindi irrigation projects will be completed on a war-footing despite conspiracies by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has said.

Addressing the media here on Sunday, Harish Rao accused Chandrababu Naidu of conspiring against Telangana development by writing a letter to the Centre against these two projects. He also slammed his AP counterpart Devineni Uma Maheshwar Rao for talking against the projects and complaining to the Centre at the behest of Chandrababu. The TDP’s Telangana leaders L Ramana and Errabelli Dayakar Rao should respond whether they support Naidu in this regard or they want the completion of the projects, he asked.

Harish Rao also said the TRS government was committed to complete these project in spite of hurdles being created by Naidu government. On completion, the projects will irrigate 10 lakh acres in the parched Mahbubnagar district and the adjoining Ranga Reddy district besides giving drinking waters to the needed pockets, he noted. The Opposition parties are getting envious and criticizing the TRS Government for making rapid strides in the irrigation sector, he maintained. Mission Kakatiya scheme has got accolades from across the world and the works are going on in a transparent manner, he added. (NSS)
